Profiles

Even if you primarily use alfons for business purposes, there may still be times when you need to create a private contact or correspond within the context of a project. This is where profiles come into play.

For each person and each individual record, you can decide whether the content is business, private, or project-related. You may have already discovered the three different profile tabs in the settings, each with its own templates for letters and invoices. This means a business invoice can look completely different from a private letter or a report using the "Project" profile.

By default, new contact cards always inherit your settings from the preferences, and new records based on that contact card in turn inherit those settings from that profile. Of course, you can change these settings individually for each record.
