Relationships

These relationships allow you to navigate between the individual modules and always display the relevant records for the desired person – provided, of course, that corresponding records are found. In alfons, records can be linked to each other using relationships. For example, a person (in the File module) can be linked to a letter (in the Mail module), three tasks (in the List module), and five items (in the Things module).

The linking is always done via the index, a kind of unique customer number that each person/file has. The advantage is that you can change existing links at any time by modifying the index accordingly. It doesn't matter if a person in the file changes their name, moves, or undergoes any other change.
