The first program start

Here's how to get started quickly: Download and install alfons. The first time you launch the program, you'll be asked if you want to delete all the demo data – we don't recommend this for new users. You can remove any unwanted data records later; they help illustrate the essential concepts, especially during your initial exploration. The most important principle: You always work with a contact in the database. This means you select an existing entry or simply create a new one using the "+" icon. If you then switch to another module, such as "Mail," using the navigation (the green field below the yellow arrows), you'll be asked if you want to create a new record for that person. Please confirm. You now have a person in the database and an associated document. That's essentially all there is to it. Further information can be found in the documentation, which you can also access from within alfons (menu "Help").
